Chapter 2 Setup

Installing the Ink Cartridges

This section describes the procedure for installing the ink cartridges and performing ink charging for the first
time.

When replacing an ink cartridge, refer to

“Replacing the Ink Cartridges” on page 74

, and then follow the proce-

dure in this section.

Check that the product is powered on. (

“Turning the Power On” on page 71

)

Open the ink cartridge cover. (

“Opening the Ink Cartridge Cover” on page 72

)

Remove a new ink cartridge from its bag.

Peel the yellow film from the ink cartridge.

Read the precautions on handling carefully before installing the ink cartridges.
