Disassembly and Assembly

Removal of Exterior Parts

4.2.3  Pressure Pump Assy

1.

Remove the Panel Assy. (p.80)

2.

Remove the Scanner Unit. (p.83)

3.

Disconnect the connectors (x2) of the Pressure Pump Assy from the Main Board.

4.

Remove the ground screw (x1) from the printer.

5.

Remove the screws (x2) in the casing of the Pressure Pump Assy.

6.

Detach the pump tube from the Right I/C Holder Assy, and remove the Pressure Pump 
Assy from the printer.

C A U T I O N

„

Before removing or installing the screws shown at right for the 
Pressure Pump Assy, compress the bellows against the right 
support by turning the gear so that the bellows cannot be 
damaged during the removal or installation of the screws.

„

Take care not to damage the tube of the Pressure Pump Assy, 
and take care that the connected end does not whiten or is not 
bent. When connecting the tube, make sure that it is all the way 
seated.

„

Before installing the Pressure Pump Assy, place the power 
cable properly by forming it into a loop. (See the figure at right)

„

After installing the Pressure Pump Assy, route the cables as 
shown below, and connect them to the Main Board.

Torque: 0.6 ± 0.1N
