Configuring PhotoStarter
PhotoStarter and CardMonitor are utility programs that detect when a memory card
is inserted in your printer and automatically copy photos to your computer (not
available in Windows XP).
Note:
If you’re using Windows XP, you don’t need PhotoStarter and
CardMonitor. You can have Windows automatically copy photos to your
computer when you insert a memory card. See your Windows Help for more
information.
1. If you see the message shown on page 9, click
Next
.
If you’re using a Macintosh, you have to open PhotoStarter first. Open the
PhotoStarter folder on your hard drive, then double-click the
PhotoStarter
icon.
The PhotoStarter setup assistant opens:
2. Click
Next
again. The setup assistant asks you a series of questions about how you
want PhotoStarter to work.
If you don’t change the default settings, this is what will happen whenever you
insert a memory card:
■
PhotoStarter will copy your pictures to the
Photos
folder on your desktop.
■
The pictures will be stored by date.
■
Film Factory will open automatically.
