Transporting the Printer
Follow the steps below when moving or transporting the
printer. To protect the printer from shock and
vibration, repack it in the original box using the original
packing materials.

Only hold the required area; otherwise, the
printer may be damaged.

Move and transport the printer with ink
cartridges installed. Do not remove the ink
cartridges; otherwise, the nozzles may be
clogged and make it impossible to print, or ink
may leak.
Preparing the Printer for
Transport

Turn off the printer and remove all cables.

Remove any paper.

Open the printer cover.
D
Fix the print head in place using ordinary tape.
When applying the tape, be careful not to touch
the internal parts of the printer. Some tape may
be difficult to remove if it is left in place for an
extended period. Remove the tape immediately
after transport.

Close the printer cover.
F
Keeping the printer flat, pack it in styrofoam or
other protective material and place it in the box.
After Transport
Before using the printer for the first time after transport,
check that the print head is not clogged.
