Using the Stand to Hold the Scanner
You can use the stand to hold the scanner. Before standing the
scanner, you need to lock the scanner's carriage to prevent any
damage. Follow the steps below.
1. Plug in the scanner and wait until the carriage moves to the
home position (position closest to the cover hinges). While the
carriage lamp remains on, unplug the power cord.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter from the DC inlet, and then slide
the transportation lock to the left.
3. Push the scanner straight down on the stand until it sets into
place.
