Note:
The column heading “Direction” refers to the direction of signal flow as viewed from
the printer.
Using the Serial Interface
If you use a serial interface. you need to confirm that the printer and the
computer are using the same serial settings. If the serial settings do not match,
you must change the appropriate settings. The settings can be changed either
at the printer or computer.
The default serial settings for the serial interface are listed below. To change
the serial settings, use the Remote Control Panel utility. For information
about your computer’s serial settings, see your computer manual.

You also need to change your computer’s port setting if it is not already set
to the serial port. The following procedure describes how to change the port
setting in Windows. To change the setting using non-Windows software. see
your software manual.
For Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11 for Workgroups, and Windows NT3.51

In the Main window. double-click the
Control Panel
icon.
2.
Double-click the
Printers
icon.
3.
In the Printers dialog box that appears. click the
Connect
button.
4.
Select a COM (serial) port.
5.
Click the
OK
button.
6.
Close the Printers dialog box.
For Windows 95,98, and Windows NT4.0
1.
Click the
Start
button. point to
Settings
. and then click
Printers
.
2.
Right-click the
EPSON EPL-N2010
icon. and click
Properties
in the menu
that appears. Be sure to right-click your printer.
