Air filter
(Air intake vent)
This prevents dust and other foreign particles
from getting inside the projector when air is
drawn in. If dust collects here it can cause the
internal temperature of the projector to rise,
and this can lead to problems with operation
and shorten the optical engine's service life.
The projector displays a warning message
when it is time to clean or replace the air filter.
