Troubleshooting Based on Symptoms
The following section provides a list of typical symptoms exhibited by the printer when a failure has occurred. This
section describes the appropriate actions which should be taken to accurately troubleshoot the cause of the failure
based upon the symptoms exhibited by the printer
No Control Panel LED’s light
Action:
1.
Check the power cable connection at both ends.
2.
Perform a continuity check on the power cable with a ohm meter.
3.
Verify that the wall socket supplies clean AC power that matches the voltage rating of the printer.
4.
Check the connections at both ends of the
OP Cable
(
Control Panel Cable
). Replace the
OP Cable
as
necessary.
5.
Replace the
OP Unit
.
6.
Replace the
Power Unit
.
7.
Initialize the
ROM Board
. If initialization fails replace the
ROM Board
.
Multiple Control Panel LED’s lit and do not extinguish
Action:
1.
Initialize the
ROM Board
.
2.
If initializing the
ROM Board
fails to resolve the problem, replace the
ROM Board
.
