Connecting the Printer to Your Computer
For the printer to receive and interpret information from your
computer, both devices must be set up to communicate properly.
You must choose the correct interface cable and communication
settings.
Note:
After connecting the printer to your computer and before
using your application software, be sure to complete Testing the
computer-to-printer connection found at the end of this chapter.
Select from the following built-in and optional interfaces:
Centronics-compatible parallel interface
RS-232C serial interface
Optional Epson interfaces:
32K serial interface (C823071)
32K parallel interface (C823101)
Other optional interface boards may be available. Contact your
Epson dealer for details.
