Transporting the Printer
When transporting the printer, repack the printer
using the original box and packing materials to
protect from shock and vibration.
Repacking the printer
A
Make sure the printer is turned on, and set
the paper lever to the secured position.

Turn off the printer, and then unplug the
cables such as the power cord.

Remove the spindle.
D
Open the front cover. Install the two metal
plates (that fixed the print head) and
tighten the screws on each plate to lock the
print head.
E
Close the front cover.
Transporting the printer
When you transport the printer, be sure to repack
the printer using the original box and packing
materials.

Caution:

Do not remove the ink cartridges;
otherwise, the print head nozzles may dry
up.
❏
Be careful not to touch the cables around the
print head and the black parts on either side
of the inside of the printer; otherwise, the
printer may be damaged.
Note:
Be sure to use the metal plates that were
removed from the printer when you unpacked
it.

Caution:

When moving or transporting the printer,
keep it flat. Do not tilt it, stand it on end, or
turn it upside down. Doing so may cause the
ink to leak inside the printer. Also, proper
operation of the printer after moving or
transportation cannot be guaranteed.
