Testing GPS module and GPRS modem telecommunications
If there is no software for this, you can perform the tests using the Windows Hyper
Terminal program. The GPS module is internally connected to
COM4
and the GPRS
phone to
COM1
.
Input data:
- Open the Windows Hyper Terminal application
- Type GPS4
- Click OK
- Type the telephone number
- Type the serial port in use (GPRS = COM1, GPS ) COM4)
- Click OK
- Select transmission speed (e.g. 4800)
- Data bits = 8
- Parity = None
- Stop Bits=1
- Click OK
- Stop scrolling by clicking ENTER and find the row with the letter “E”.
