Disassembling the optical bench
(Figure 6.3)
•
Switch off the analyzer.
•
Remove the cap from the optical compartment.
•
Disconnect the connectors J3-J7-J8-J9-J12-J13-J14-J16-J17-J20.
•
Loosen the 2 knurled fastening screws and remove the clamp.
•
Free the measurement chamber from the optical compartment and disconnect the 2
I

tubes. Carefully mark their respective positions.

•
Switch off the analyzer.
•
Remove the cap from the optical compartment.
•
Loosen the fastenings of the measurement chamber.
•
Disconnect the J13 and J14 connectors and the connections between the optical
forks and the stepping motor control from the IR source block. It can be necessary to
disconnect additional connectors.
•
Free the measurement chamber from the optical compartment, but not completely.
•
Loosen the 4 knurled fastening screws from the IR source block and remove the
latter.

Replacing the source
•
Loosen the 2 screws (15) to remove the source support (17).
•
Loosen the screw (18). Loosen the screw of the cable clamp collar and remove the
wired source assembly (16).

•
Loosen the 2 screws to remove the source support. Collect the anchoring
colonnettes.
•
Fix the new source onto its frame.
•
To fix the source support, pay special attention to the location of the colonnettes.
The chopper must not be in contact with the colonnettes.

Checking the source voltage
•
See chapter 5, paragraph “Adjustment and inspection of the motherboard”.
