The bottom of the vent cap shall extend at
least 2 feet (0.61 m) above the highest point
of the roof where it passes through and at
least 2 feet (0.61 m) higher than any portion
of the roof within a horizontal distance of 10
feet (3.1 m).

This basic venting configuration shown are rough guidelines only.
Follow national and local codes for other installation options.
Measure the height of the chimney beforehand and purchase
the appropriate kit. Never attempt to over stretch a flexible liner
to accommodate the height of the chimney.
• Any flue damper must be removed or locked permanently in
the open position.
• The chimney must be clean, in good working order and
constructed out of non-combustible materials.
• Make sure that all chimney clean-outs are tightly fitting and will
not permit air to leak into the chimney.
• Make all gas connections and check for leaks.
