Entrotec recommend locks with built in suppression. If such a lock is not being used it is ESSENTIAL
to fit suitable suppression, as close to the lock as possible. This prevents back EMF and spikes from
damaging equipment and causing erratic operation.
WARNING
Failure to fit adequate suppression may invalidate any warranty.
NOTE
Entrotec supply 1N4007 diodes.
5.6 Relay Interconnections
The 4 lock connections, by default, are configured for fail open locks (power to hold) e.g., magnetic
locks. This is set with the pre-wired interconnections between the Access Controller and the Lock
Distribution board. To adjust the operation of a lock output for fail closed locks, see section 5.6.1.
