Wireless communication
The
Wireless Communication
window contains information about the operation of the
WirelessHART Adapter. This information is updated every five minutes. An explanation of the
individual parameters is provided in the "Wireless communication parameters" table below.

Network Identification
Identification number of the network the WirelessHART Adapter is joining
MAC
Media Access Control (MAC) address
Nickname
Nickname of the WirelessHART Adapter for internal use in the network
Total Number of Neighbors
Number of WirelessHART devices that were found in the vicinity of the WirelessHART
Adapter and to which a connection has been made.
Wireless Health Status
Key parameters for network communication
• Index: ID of the neighboring device
• Nickname: nickname of the neighboring device
• Mean RSL dBm: mean signal strength of the neighbor since the time when the
WirelessHART Adapter joined the network
• Packets Transmitted: number of packets that have been sent by the WirelessHART
Adapter since the adapter joined the network
• Failed Transmits: number of packets that have been sent by the WirelessHART
Adapter and did not reach their intended destination (after retries) since the adapter
joined the network
• Packets Received: number of packets which the WirelessHART Adapter has received
since the adapter joined the network
