12.1 General information
12.1.1 The Hauser repair concept
Under the Hauser repair concept, the measuring devices have a modular design
and customers are able to undertake repairs themselves. For more information on service
and spare parts, please contact your Hauser sales representative.
12.1.2 Repair of Ex-certified devices
• Only specialist personnel or Hauser-Service can carry out repairs to Ex certified
devices.
• Comply with the prevailing standards, national Ex-area regulations, Safety Instructions
(XA) and certificates.
• Use only original Hauser spare parts.
• When ordering spare parts, check the device designation on the nameplate. Only
identical parts may be used as replacements.
• Carry out repairs according to the instructions. On completion of the repair, carry out the
routine test specified for the device.
• A certified device may be converted to another certified device version by Endress
+Hauser Service only.
• Document all repairs and modifications.
12.1.3 Replacing a device or electronics module
After an entire device or an electronics module has been replaced, the parameters can be
downloaded to the device again via the communication interface. For this, the data must
have been uploaded to the PC beforehand using the "FieldCare" software. You can continue
measuring without performing a new calibration. Only a linearization and interference
echo suppression need to be performed again.
12.1.4 Replacing the sensor
Check the following parameters after replacing the sensor:
•
Empty E
•
Full F
•
Check distance
(mapping)
Afterwards, measurement can resume without further restrictions.
12.2 Spare parts
All the spare parts for the measuring device, along with the order code, are listed in the
W@M Device Viewer
) and can be ordered. If available,
users can also download the associated Installation Instructions.
