For device version with device plug: follow step 6 only.
1. Depending on the housing version, loosen the securing clamp or fixing screw of the
housing cover.
2. Depending on the housing version, unscrew or open the housing cover.
3. Push the cable through the cable entry . To ensure tight sealing, do not remove the
sealing ring from the cable entry.
4. Strip the cable and cable ends. In the case of stranded cables, also fit ferrules.
5. Connect the cable in accordance with the terminal assignment or the device plug pin
assignment .
6. Depending on the device version, tighten the cable glands or plug in the device plug
and tighten .
7. Enable the terminating resistor if applicable .

WARNING
Housing degree of protection may be voided due to insufficient sealing of the
housing.

Screw in the screw without using any lubricant. The threads on the cover are
coated with a dry lubricant.
Reverse the removal procedure to reassemble the transmitter.

Connecting the Safety Barrier Promass 100
In the case of the device version with Modbus RS485 intrinsically safe, the transmitter
must be connected to the Safety Barrier Promass 100.
1. Strip the cable ends. In the case of stranded cables, also fit ferrules.
2. Connect the cable in accordance with the terminal assignment → 25.
3. Where applicable, enable the terminating resistor in the Safety Barrier Promass 100
