Caution!
Before wiring, please compare the supply voltage with the information specified on the
nameplate.
If safe operation is no longer possible (e.g. visible damage) please take the device out
of service and secure it against unintentional start-up.
Category II overvoltage protection is integrated into the system. If requirements are
tighter, additional overvoltage protection equipment must be installed. To this end, the
connection compartment contains a top-hat rail.
Please provide a suitable switch or circuit breaker when installing in a building.
An overcurrent protection device (nominal current I=10 A) is required for the power
cable. The protective earth connection must be made before all other connections. Any
interruption in the protective earth can cause danger.

Quick wiring guide
4.1.1
Cable laying
•
Lay the cable so that it is protected behind the rear panel of the device.
•
Use cable ties to keep the cables out of the way.
•
You should plan a cable length of approx. 1.7 m between the foundation to the
terminal connection.
4.1.2
Cable types
- Power supply:
e.g. NYY-J; 3-core; max. 2.5 mm
2
- Analogue, signal and message lines
e.g. LiYY 10 x 0.34 mm
2
- Interface RS485:
e.g. LiYCY 2 x 0.25 mm
