The occlusion screw is used to set the effective pressure to the tubings. The flow rate of
the pump is adjusted with the speed controller. In order to maximize the service life of
the tubings and the pump performance, set the pumping rate as follows:
1.
Loosen the occlusion screw until the pressure bars no longer applies pressure to the
tubings.
2.
Immerse the intake tube into the wash solution. Insert the waste hose into the waste
bottle.
3.
Switch on the PlasmaQuant PQ 9000 and the autosampler with the power switch.
Start the ASpect PQ program.
4.
Click on
[A
UTOSAMPLER
] and in the
AUTOSAMPLER
window switch to the F
UNCTION
TESTS
tab. Activate the option W
ASH PUMP
and exit the window with [OK].
5.
Tighten the occlusion screw until the wash solution starts to flow. Tighten the screw
with another turn.
6.
Re-adjust the flow rate of the pump with the speed controller. The liquid level in the
autosampler should remain constant and not too much wash liquid should overflow.
7.
In the window
AUTOSAMPLER
deactivate the option W
ASH PUMP
.

Replacing the fuses
Replace the fuses of the autosampler as follows:
1.
Switch off the autosampler with the power switch.
2.
Pull out the fuse holder. To do so, insert a screwdriver blade into the slot in the fuse
holder and carefully pry out the holder.
3.
Replace defective mains fuses.
Use only fuses of the type T 5A H 250V, 5 x 20mm.
Insert the fuse into the clip marked with an arrow (see figure below).
4.
Connect the power cable and serial plug (HOST) of the autosampler.
5.
Switch on the autosampler with the power switch.
