Recommendations during the measurement
1. Be as relaxed as possible during the measurement.
Don‘t talk and don‘t take your breath.
2. Wait in this position for at least 5 minutes before the first measurement.
3. The measurement results can be influenced by the measurement location, the
position, the physical activity or the physiological state.
4. The operation of the blood pressure monitor can be caused by extreme temperatures,
humidity and atmospheric pressure.
5. Press the
START/STOP key
to stop cuff inflation or measurement to stop.
The pump stops pumping and automatically beginns draining and
the device switches itself off.
6. When the device detects blood pressure and pulse, the cuff will automatically
deflate. Your blood pressure and heart rate are displayed and you will hear the
results announced.
Irregular Heartbeat Detector (IHB)
This symbol indicates that certain pulse irregularities were detected during the
measurement. In this case, the result may deviate from your normal basal blood
pressure – repeat the measurement. In most cases this is nothing to worry about.
However, if the symbol appears regularly (e.g. several times a week for daily
measurements), we recommend you to inform your doctor.
