Will pass phantom power to input
Outputs/Connections
XLR type are connectors wired to IEC-268 Part 12 and BS5428 Part 5/3.
Pin 1 – Gnd/Earth/0V
Pin 2 – Signal positive/hot
Pin 3 – Signal negative/cold
E.M.O. Microphone Splitters provide three microphone level outputs from one microphone level input. Outputs A and B are
transformer isolated from the input. The Direct Output is connected in parallel with the input XLR.
Phantom Powering
Both the Direct Output and Output A will pass phantom power to the input XLR. To disable this facility on Output A, remove
the unit from it’s base and cut the link on the track (copper) side of the printed circuit board.
Earth Lift
This switch operates on Output B only. It may be useful in reducing hum problems and solving ground/earth loops in some
applications.
Phase Reverse
The phase reverse switches may be used, in combination, to correct phase errors in microphones or leads. They can also
be useful in reducing howlround in on-stage monitoring systems.

Maximum of +4dBu at 30Hz
If Output A or Output B is shorted to ground the maximum level reduction in the other output is 1.5dB.
Note
The E335 panel mounting microphone splitter is suitable for permanent mounting in OEM equipment. Where a multiple
splitter is required, our E336 19” rack frame will accommodate up to six units (a complete rack is designated E340). This
frame is also compatible with our direct injection panels. E337 blanking panels should be used for unfi lled space if the rack
frame is not fully used.
