Standard operating procedures
4.1.1 Overview
Hovermap-Zoe is the seamless integration of Acecore’s Zoe drone with Hovermap. The drone can
operate both as a stand-alone platform, as well as a Hovermap-specific integrated platform. When
operating as the latter, many of the standard controls are changed to simplify the autonomous
operation of the system. This section contains detailed information on the Hovermap-specific workflow.
As part of Hovermap-Zoe operations, it is important that you are familiar with the standard operating
procedure of the Zoe drone.
Many of the emergency procedures prescribed to recover Hovermap-Zoe in case of an unexpected
event require you to take manual control. Being confident and capable in stand-alone operation is a
critical part of these emergency procedures.
4.1.2 Operating procedures
There are three autonomy modes for operating the Hovermap-Zoe platform:
Mapping mode
Pilot-Assist mode
Autonomous Waypoint mode
This section contains the standard operating procedure for Hovermap-Zoe, including deviations
between autonomy modes. Refer to the
Mapping Mode
,
Pilot Assist Mode
, and
Autonomous Waypoint
Mode
sections for a full operational checklist for each autonomy mode.
