If Zoe is in Altitude-Hold mode and doesn’t have sufficient GPS signal, the Return to Launch
failsafe will immediately land the drone.
If Zoe is in Hovermap mode, it will continue with the mission.
4.6.2.2 GCS communication failure
The GCS failsafe controls how Zoe behaves if contact with the GCS is lost or has a failure.
Depending on the setting and vehicle position, the failsafe will either return to launch, or continue an
active mission. More specifically:
Return to launch: If you have a GPS lock and are more than 2 m from your home position.
Land: If you have no GPS lock or are within 2 m of home.
Continue with the mission: If you are in Hovermap, Loiter or Altitude-Hold mode.
If contact with the GCS is restored, Zoe will remain in its current flight mode. It will not automatically
return to the flight mode that was active before the failsafe was triggered. It will not automatically
return to the flight mode that was active before the failsafe was triggered. If you want to switch back to
the previous flight mode, flick the flight mode switch to another position, and then back to the desired
mode.

Note
Zoe is not able to avoid obstacles during Return to Launch failsafe.
Therefore, for safety reasons, the standard failsafe altitude setting is 20 m.
If the controller signal is restored during Return to Launch failsafe, Zoe will
remain in its current flight mode. It will not automatically return to the flight
mode that was active before the failsafe was triggered. If you want to switch
back to the previous flight mode, flick the flight mode switch to another
position, and then back to the desired mode.


This failsafe protocol only will only initiate if the controller has a communication
failure. If the controller has active communication, it will be the leading radio
control, and the GCS failsafe will not initiate

