To use the Select TLP dialog box:
1. Highlight the point type of the desired point.
2. Highlight the logical number of the desired point.
3. Highlight the desired parameter associated with the specified point.
C.3.1 Points
Standard point types used by the Model 3711 are listed and defined in the document entitled ROC
Protocol User Manual . This document is available on the Micro Motion web site, in the following

Three user-defined points (UDPs) are also used in the Model 3711 system:
• Point 22 – Gas Flow Computer Calculations
• Point 37 – Core Interface Setup
• Point 39 – Core User Registers
These points are documented in Section C.3.3.
C.3.2 Logical numbers
Within each point type, individual points are referenced by a point number or a logical number.
Point numbers for point types 1 to 5 are based on a physical input or output (I/O) with a “rack and
module” location.
Point numbers for all other point types are “logical” and are simply numbered in sequence. The point
number will be in the range 0 –
x , where x is one fewer than the total number of points that exist for
that point type. For example, point type 14 represents the comm ports. There are three comm ports:
LOI is point number 0, COMM 1 is point number 1, and COMM 2 is point number 2.
