Installation of Optional THUM Wireless Adapter

Section 11: Installation of Optional THUM

Wireless Adapter

11.1

Component Installation on TEC2000, TEC2 and
Model 500

Disconnect the actuator from the power source and open the back cover to expose
the STC.

Apply Teflon tape to both, the THUM and the reducer bushing threads to
prevent galling.

Insert the Wireless HART THUM and a 3/4 to 1/4 conduit reducer into one of the
access ports in the actuator control housing. Then, tighten securely, making sure not
to damage wires while turning.

NOTE:

Reducer bushings used for non-hazardous locations installation only.

Once the THUM is securely installed, wire as shown below:
