Product description
2.1 General information about Copeland
™ LOCU refrigeration unit
Emerson has developed the Copeland LOCU ref rigeration unit to meet the demands of the food retail
and f ood service sectors. It is an air-cooled refrigeration unit that uses the latest Copeland patented
scroll technology as the main driver and has electronic protection and diagnostics features built in
the high-quality chassis. The combination of large condensers and low-speed f ans allows for
particularly quiet operation.

2.2 EU Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC
The European Directive 2009/125/EC with regard to ecodesign requirements f or professional
ref rigerated storage cabinets, blast cabinets, condensing units and process chillers requires
manuf acturers to decrease the energy consumption of their products by establishing mi nimum
energy ef f iciency standards. Copeland ref rigeration units are prepared and optimized to meet the
requirements of the Ecodesign Directive. The integrated variable speed f an and condenser reduce
the noise level and energy consumption significantly. This, combined with Copeland scroll
technology, allows for high-efficiency operation.

2.3 Main product features and dimensions
Copeland OMTE, OLE & OLTE ref rigeration units are released f or multiple ref rigerants. They are
available in two cabinet sizes and are equipped with one or two fans. Depending on the compressors
in use they are designed for medium-temperature or low-temperature refrigeration applications.
