SPI Flash

There are two SPI flash chips. Each chip has a capacity of 4 MB for BIOS, Gigabit Ethernet, and
ME.

The flash chips can be accessed either by the PCH or external devices with SPI interface through
a 2 x 4 pin SF100 header.

A 3-pin jumper (P12) is supplied to configure how SPI flash is accessed, and when the SPI flash
is set to be accessed by external devices through the SF100 header. Each of the SPI flash chips
can be enabled or disabled by setting a 3-pin jumper (P14). For information on pin
assignments, see

Table 3-35 on page 47

The COMX-CAR-610 also provides two 3-pin jumpers (P15 and P38) to determine whether
enable or disable the BIOS on the module. For information on pin assignments, see
