Wireless Network troubleshooting
Symptom
Possible cause and recommended actions
The device is not joining the wireless network.
Verify Network ID and Join Key. The Network
ID and Join Key in the device must match the
Network ID and Join Key of the Gateway,
refer to
“Obtain Network ID and Join Key” on
and
“Enter Network ID and Join Key”
Enable High Speed Operation on the Smart
Wireless Gateway.
Check Power Module.
Verify that Active Advertising has been
enabled on the Smart Wireless Gateway.
Verify device is within range of at least one
other wireless device or the Smart Wireless
Gateway, see
.
Verify device is configured to join. Send the
“Join Now” command to the device, see
“Network Join Details” on page 90
.

Limited Bandwidth error
Reduce the Update Rate on transmitter, refer
to
“Configure Update Rate” on page 51
.
Increase communication paths by adding
more wireless points.
Check that device has been online for at least
an hour.
Check that device is not routing through a
“limited” routing node.
Create a new network with an additional
Smart Wireless Gateway.
