COMMAND TYPE OF COMMAND

DESCRIPTION

SC

SET UP/QUERY

SERIAL CONTROL

This command puts the drive into (SC=1) or takes the drive out of (SC=0) the Serial Control
Mode of operation. No motion execution commands will be accepted until the drive is in the
Serial Control Mode, although set up and query command may be issued at any time.

BK

SET UP/QUERY

ACTIVATE BRAKE

Enables (BK=1) or disables (BK=0) the brake override if the motor is so equipped.

RS

EXECUTION ONLY

RESET DRIVE

Resets the drive after any drive fault. This command has the same effect as using the push-
button reset.

LR

SET UP/QUERY

LINEAR RAMPS

Selects the linear (LR=1) or nonlinear (LR=0) method of ramping. The nonlinear method uses a
haversine ramp function when changing velocity. This results in slightly smoother ramp
endings, but requires more current during the middle stages of acceleration/deceleration.

CKX

QUERY ONLY

CHECKSUMS

Returns a hexadecimal checksum of the desired area of system memory:

0 – prom
1 – all non-volatile memory parameters (T-drive/PCM if present)
2 – PCM nvm only
3 – index/home info only
4 – program info only

The prom checksum returned should always be the same. The other checksums may change as
information is programmed.
