Viewing Status

VTL

To access the VTL page, on the Status page, click VTL. 

The management frame displays the VTL page.

The VTL page provides three views for the virtual devices:

Physical view

◆

Logical view

◆

Performance view

Physical view

The physical view displays the physical representation of the virtual 
components (tape drives, tape cartridges, and robots) of the virtual 
tape library. Each drive and tape cartridge is displayed in the tape 
drive and slot sections. Clicking a tape drive displays the specific 
details for that device on the right side of the VTL page. 

Select the virtual tape library you wish to view from the list box. The 
Show/Hide

 links will either display or hide the drive or slot views.

Degraded Tape Cartridges 

- when the RAID is degraded, all tape 

cartridges are shown in a degraded state.

◆

Unavailable Tape Cartridges

 - when the RAID has failed or is 

inaccessible due to failure, all tape cartridges are shown as 
unavailable.

Logical view

The logical view displays the virtual tape libraries within the DL3D 
appliance. Click the 

information icon 

 

to view

 the specific details for 

that virtual tape library in a pop-up window on that page.
