Performing Measurements on Tubing Systems using
BioProTT
TM
Clamp-On Transducers
7.1
Installation of the BioProTTTM Clamp-On Transducer
Make sure that only the tubes specified for the relevant transducer are used.
Only these tubes were used when calibrating the transducer. The stated
measurement accuracy cannot be guaranteed if the measurements are
carried out using tubes that differ in size, wall thickness or material from
other manufacturers.
You should also make sure that the calibration parameters are complied
with. If the temperature of the medium varies or other fluids are used, this
may lead to measurement errors, unless adjustments are made by
performing a custom calibration on site and adjusting the potentiometer.
The prescribed parameters are listed in the data sheets supplied with the
transducer.
7.2
Clamping Onto Tube
The 16-pin circular connector of the BioProTT
TM
Clamp-On Transducer is connected to
the rear of the BioProTT
TM
). The transducer is
then clamped to the tube.
To obtain a positive flow value, make sure the arrow is pointing in the flow
direction.
Clamp the transducer onto the tube as follows (
please note: pictures only show principle,
but not actual lid color
):
1.
Open the spring lock and lift up the cover.
2.
Insert the tube into the recess provided.
3.
Close the lid by applying gentle pressure until the spring lock snaps into place.
4.
Please note: the tubing should fit snugly in the transducer and should not be loose.
