The log messages can be filtered. To do this, use the 

show log grep buffer

 command. The command takes 

a  string  as  a  parameter  that  is  used  for  search  in  the  log.  Only  the  messages  containing  the  string  will  be 
displayed on the screen. 

LTP-8X# show log grep pmchal 

If console output or output to CLI sessions is configured for log messages, the messages will be output to 

these  devices  automatically  as  soon  as  they  are  generated.  User  does  not  need  to  perform  any  additional 
operations. 

When a remote syslog server is used, use the log display tools provided by the SYSLOG server.
