11. WHAT TO DO IF...
1.
Whenthehumidifierisswitchedon,signal1“machineon”doesnotcomeon.
•
Checkthepowersupplyterminalsarereceivingpower;
•
Checkthepowerfusesareintherightposition;
•
CheckfuseFofthetransformerprimaryisinstalledcorrectly;
•
Checkthecoverofthehumidifierelectricsiswellsecuredandkeepingthe“coverclosed”microswitchenergised;
•
Checkthe“machineon”switchispresseddown.
2.
Whenthehumidifierisswitchedon,thewatersupplysolenoidvalvedoesnotfeedwater.
•
Checkthepowersupplycircuitisopen;
•
Checkthefilterisnotblocked;
•
Checkthesolenoidvalveiscorrectlypoweredwith12Vdc;
•
Afterclosingthetapwhichfeedsthewateranddisconnectingthehumidifierfromthemains,openthesolenoidvalveby
unscrewingthethreescrews.Removeallthecomponents,cleanthetwosmallholes(approx.1/2mmindiameter)on
the rubber membrane. Remount the solenoid valve carefully;

Ifthishappensaftertheboilerhasbeenreplaced,checkinsidetheboilerthattheholethroughwhichthewaterisfed
has been made.
3.
Whenthewaterhasbeenchanged,themachinecontinuestofeedwaterandsignal4“waterchange”stayson.Thistakes
acoupleofminutes.Themachinethenstopsfeedingwaterandbeginsproducingsteamnormally,eventhoughsignal4
remains on. This means that the water has not been changed properly.
•
Checktherearenoproblemswithwaterfeeding:filtersblocked,incompletewateropening,etc...;
•
Checkthesiphondrainisnotblocked:disconnectthepower,opentheplug(10)andremoveanyobstructions.
4.
Duringoperation,thehumidifiermaysignalitisoverproducing(signal5on)andawaterchangestartsup.
•
CheckpotentiometerP5isintherightpositionandturnitclockwise;
•
ReducethehumidistatrequestbyturningpotentiometerP2anticlockwise.
5.
Duringoperation,thehumidifierfeedswaterintotheverticalsiphonhose(7).
• Reduce the humidistat request (P2) and manually empty the vertical hose.
