tem have time to equalize during compressor off-cycles.
The compressor rest time (

) helps to avoid the following:

passing peak current through the windings of the compressor motor

switching off the system on the thermal overload protection
l
short cycling of the system.
Considerations
If set too low, the compressor rest time may cycle on the set point
