Restraining wires

You may notice two thin, horizontal lines in the
picture.  This is not a defect, but a phenomenon
common to monitors which use the aperture
grille CRT technology.

These lines are shadows produced by the
restraining wires which reduce the aperture
grille’s sensitivity to vibration .
