ERT-A2 ALERT2 Configuration Manual

Warning:  The solar input is suitable for solar panels rated as 12V nominal only.  24V solar panel can 
produce open circuit voltages of 44Vdc which will exceed the rated input of the solar regulator and 
cause damage. 

 

Serial (Serial / SDI-12) 

The  Serial  connector  has  the  communication 
connections for RS232, RS485 and SDI-12. 

•

 

SDI-12:  Communication  bus  for  SDI-12 

sensors  or  devices.    Note:  RS485  and  SDI-12 
cannot be used at the same time. 

•

 

RS485: If configured as a Base station is used 

to  output  ALERT  data  to  a  115E-2  ERRTS 
Gateway.  This configuration can also be used 
to  link  to  a  repeater  to  form  a  migration 
configuration  to  convert  ALERT1  to  ALERT2
