!!!WARNING!!!
DANGER OF EXPLOSION IF THE BATTERY IS REPLACED
WITH ANOTHER ONE OF A WRONG TYPE.
DISPOSE OF THE USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS
We remind you that lithium batteries are to all purposes classified as special waste with the code CER 160605
(E.W.C. 160605) and that their disposal at the end of their life cycle, must be carried out according to the existing

These products contain lithium or high capacity batteries which, if thrown in the fire or if improperly or carelessy

12.3.1 BATTERY REPLACEMENT
CAUTION: AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT WAIT AT LEAST 40 MIN. TO ASSURE THE SYSTEM
OPERATIVITY
Before replacing the batteries, enter in the Maintenance status, for example by inputting
Technician Code
(preset code 000000)
OK
84
OK.
In this way the alarm signalling is temporarily deactivated.
After replacing the batteries, exit from the Maintenance status by pressing the
ESC
key many times until the
display shows the message «((( ELKRON WL31 )))» again.
12.3.1.1 CONTROL PANEL
Before replacing dead batteries, follow the instructions given in «Stop Menu» (Ref. to Paragraph 8.62)
Open the control panel, replace the dead batteries with batteries of the same type and close the control panel again (if
present, remove the anti-passivation bridge from the connector of each battery). The programming. The programming
carried out is kept even after the batteries’ replacement (obviously it is necessary to reset the time and date).
Warning: the control panel cannot remain without supply for over:
18 minutes, if the anti-jamming function is active. If the control panel remains without supply during over 30
minutes, external sirens are activated “cables cut” function).
50 hours, in any case (batteries must be replaced during this period). If the control panel remains without
supply during over 50 hours, the system devices do not receive any interrogation from the control panel and so
they will set in stand-by. To reactivate them, press the tampers for passive IR detectors, magnetic contacts,
smoke detectors and external sirens, whereas it will be sufficient to press any key with the additional control
keyboards.
NOTE: as concerns the smoke detector, although in stand-by it works as independent detector, without radio
activities. It is however necessary, after restoring the control panel power supply, to press the smoke detector
tamper to synchronize it again with the system.
RADIO COMMUNICATION RESTORING AT POWER ON OR AFTER RESET
After supplying the control panel
(or after resetting), the display will show the message “Wait please...”, during this
stage the acquired devices are interrogated to restore radio connection. This condition will last until the control
panel has synchronized all periphery devices. In any case this satge lasts for max. 30 minutes. It is however
possible to surf the menu and to programme parameters.
