8.60 MAINTENANCE - ELIMINATE DEVICES [82]
Menu > Maintenance > Maintenance - Eliminate devices
Authorization level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
This enables the elimination of one or more acquired devices. It is possible to delete the devices one by one or to
delete all the devices acquired by the system together.
Warning
: the deleting operation is not a reversible one; in cases of errors it is necessary to acquire again the
device/s using the function Maintenance - Acquire Devices.
How to do it:
1. Press the
OK
key and use the
and
keys to choose the type of device to be deleted or «Cancel
devices All» to delete all the devices.
2. Confirm your choice by pressing the
OK
key. If you have chosen «Cancel devices All» move to item 4. .
3. The list of the devices of the chosen type is displayed. Use the
and
keys to choose the device to be
deleted and confirm your choice by pressing the
OK
key.
4. Use the
key to select «Confirm Operation YES» and press
OK
to confirm it.
8.61 MAINTENANCE - REPLACE DEVICES [83]
Menu > Maintenance > Maintenance - Replace devices
Authorization level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
This enables you to replace a device (for example if it is damaged) and transfer all its programming to a new one.
How to do it:
1. Press the
OK
key and use the
and
keys to choose the list containing the device to be replaced.
2. Confirm your choice by pressing the
OK
key.
3. Use the
and
keys to scroll down the list and choose the device to be replaced.
4. Select «Confirm YES» using the
key and confirm it with the
OK
key. The display shows the message
«Substitution underway ».
5. Acquire the new device according to the instructions relating to its type shown in the
Installation Manual
.
6. When the device is acquired the display shows the message «ttnn substitution - name» where tt = device type,
nn = device address, name = name given to the device (or generic device name if it has not been nominated
yet). If the acquisition is not successful the message «Substitution failed» is shown. In this case it is necessary
to carry out the device reset and repeat the procedure from item 5.
7. Open the old device, disconnect or remove the batteries and disassemble it.
8. Assemble the new and just acquired device in its place, connect it or replace the batteries and close it.
8.62 MAINTENANCE - CONNECTION TEST [84]
Menu > Maintenance > Maintenance - Connection test
Authorization level:
TECHNICIAN
Purpose:
This enables you to verify that the control panel and the acquired devices manage to communicate and what is
their transmission quality. The devices and the control panel must be placed in the final position or near it.
During the test the signal’s power is intentionally reduced in order to guarantee maximum communication efficiency
under normal conditions of use.
How to do it:
1. Press the
OK
key to start the test automatic procedure. The display shows the message «Check underway»
and a bar indicating the level of progression.
2. At the end of the test the display shows the first device identified by its type, address and test result. The test
result can be as follows:

Perfect connection
or
Good connection
Connection sufficient
or
or
“Insuff signal.
Connection not sufficient
“Signal absent”
Damaged, not connected or device outside range
