YUKON BELL TENT INSTRUCTIONS
STARTING TIPS
•
One person can set up the Yukon bell tent, but
it helps to have two
people
.
•
Even though you can zip the floor apart from the tent, we recommend
keeping them attached and only unzipping when you need a breeze or when
trying to cut down weight for hauling the tent.
The tent is much faster to
set up and take down with the floor attached.
INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Lay the tent out in a flat area
large enough to allow for the diameter of
your tent (13
’, 16’, or 20’) plus an additional 6 feet on all sides for the ropes.
2. Using the small pegs, pull the groundsheet tight, and
stake down the floor.
3.
Take the
main straight pole
through the door, find the center of the cone,
and
push the pole and tent up
until it is vertical.
4.
Attach all the ropes
to the tent and, without putting too much tension at this
time,
stake down the tent
with the larger stakes.
a. There will be one rope longer than the others. This is for the door. Wait
until
after step 5
to attach it to the door.
b. TIP: To help keep the tent centered, it is best to stake down ropes on
opposites sides
of each other, working your way around the tent.
