13.2.3 Histogram
In statistics, a histogram is a graphical representation showing a visual impression of the
distribution of data. It is an estimate of the probability distribution of the thickness readings. The
histogram helps you to decide how to change the production process in order to optimise quality.
To call the histogram of the active batch, press “Statistics” from the
main menu followed by “Histogram”.
First, the histogram as calculated for the total thickness appears. On
the left column, a scale is shown displaying all thickness readings of
the active batch. The numerals beside the bars and the length of bars
indicate the number of single readings.
Press arrow-up key repeatedly to scroll through the histograms of
single layers in ascendant order and vice versa. The name of layer and
the number of readings taken is indicated on the head line of diagram.
To calculate a histogram, a minimum of 5 readings is requested. If
layers are not available or if the number of readings taken is less than
5, the below message will appear.
