• The iron must be used and rested on a stable
surface;
• When placing the iron on its rest, ensure
that the surface on which the rest is placed is
stable;
• The iron is not to be used if it has fallen, if
there are visible signs of damage or if it is
leaking.
Use the iron only on heat resistent surfaces, that
let the steam through. If you are ironing on a table
without suction, the table may get soaked with
condensate.
3.3. Water refill
The machine can provide in average 1 – 2 hours
of steam. When little steam comes out of the iron,
turn off the boiler.
If by accident the machine runs out of water, the
low water alert lamp (9 - Figure 1) turns on and a
“buzz” sound is heard (the safety protection of the
machine may then trip: in this case the machine
does not turn on again and it is necessary to take
it to a service centre).
WARNING - Do not use without water.
Turn off the boiler immediately.
To refill the boiler:
• Turn off the boiler switch (7 - Figure 1)
• Press the iron button until no steam comes
out.
• Turn off the iron switch (6 - Figure 1)
• Disconnect the appliance from mains.
• Unscrew the cap (anticlockwise). Do not force
the cap if it is not opening; instead, wait some
time for the machine to cool off and then try
again. Do not use tools to open the cap; if
the machine is cool enough, the cap can be
opened easily by hand.
WARNING - Do not attempt to open the
cap while the machine is working or whi-
le it is hot: Risk of severe burns.
• After opening the cap, allow the unit to cool off
several minutes.
• Refill the boiler, following the procedure
described at the beginning of chapter "3.1
Setup"
WARNING - When refilling a machine
that is still warm be very careful: pour
little water at a time and keep your face and
body far from the machine: hot spray may
come out of the machine.
3.4. End of the job
At the end of your usage:
• turn off the boiler and iron switches
• disconnect from mains
• Leave the iron on the iron rest until it has
cooled off.
If there is still water in the boiler, it is not necessari
to discharge it. However, next time you use the
machine, refill up to the maximum level (marked
on the level stick) before using it. In this way you
are sure to get the maximum working time.
4. Care and maintenance
Your appliance does not require compulsory
manitenance.
Simply clean the cabinet with a wet cloth.
WARNING - Do not use solvents or de-
tergents.
WARNING - Always disconnect from
mains before cleaning.
The boiler does not require internal cleaning.
Never pour detergents, acids or chemical agents
into the boiler.
WARNING - If a service is needed,
always refer to your nearest authorised
service center. Never try to open or service the
appliance.
Use only original spare parts.
If you need to change the safety cap, use ony the
original spare part: the cap contains a safety valve
that is manufacturer only for this machine.
Should the iron fall by accident, refer to the service
center for inspection; the safety of the product may
be reduced.
WARNING - The power cord can be
changed only by a service center
