4.5 Electronics mainboard replacement
Note 1:
Mainboard replacement is possible only when the cash register is switched off and the external display disconnected.
When replacing it, keep in mind the safety regulations for protecting electronic equipment against static electricity.
1. Pull up the middle cover and then separate the front cover of the cash register from the undercover (chapter 4.1).
2. Disconnect all the connectors from the mainboard.
3. Remove the four fixing screws which fasten the electronics mainboard to the front cover.
4. Replace the mainboard.
5. Fasten a new mainboard with the fixing screws (see the picture the front cover).
6. Connect all the connectors (beware of the exchange, it can damage the electronics)
7. Apply all the mainboard tests on a new mainboard (see chapter 5).
8. Reinstall the covers according to the chapter 4.1.
Note 2:
If any faults are reported during the process of testing (in the case of any test), make sure that all the connectors are correctly
inserted in the correct places. The exchange of the connectors as well as the incorrect insertion are the frequent causes of
malfunctioning of the cash register and its parts.
