5.3 Keyboard tests
These tests allow the diagnostics and proper identification of keyboard
keys.
5.3.1 Keyboard test 1
Procedure:
1. Switch the ECR into programming mode.
2. Enter ‘300’ using numerical keys.
3. Press the [Multiply] key.
Testing procedure:
1. Gradually press the keyboard keys.
2. If the key is functional, the ECR displays its location, hexadecimal code
and name.
Test ends when
E
[Total] key is pressed.
5.3.2 Keyboard test 2
The second keyboard test evaluates the gradual pressing of keyboard
keys. If the keys are pressed exactly according to the figure 5.3 and the
keyboard or its circuits are not damaged, the test resolves as correct.
Procedure:
1. Switch the ECR into programming mode.
2. Enter ‘310’ using numerical keys.
3. Press the [Multiply] key.
Testing procedure:
1. Press the individual keys as shown in the figure.
2. If the pressed key does not follow shown sequence, the ECR beeps
until the correct key is pressed.
The keyboard test 2 can be stopped anytime by pressing
E
[Total] key.
