STEP 1: GENERAL INFORMATION.

STEP 2: PREPARING YOUR GRAPHIC CARD AMD RADEON HD 6990
EK-FC6990 GTX backplate is very easy to install. First install EK-FC6990 water block according to its manual. If you have it already installed, please
check below which mounting screws for water block are to be left in their position. Please remove the nine (9) M3x8 DIN7991 screws marked with
arrow and the original AMD backplate.
STEP 3: APPLYING THE THERMAL PADS
EK-FC6990 backplate features passive cooling of the printed circuit board and it’s components therefore it is mandatory to install the enclosed
thermal pads. Please install the 0.5mm thick thermal pads on the memory ICs itself and 1mm thermal pad on the two extruded stubs on the
backplate itself. You may need to trim excess pad on some of the 1mm thermal pads.
