ith its large 20.1" screen and

sophisticated color control

features, the FlexScan L887 is fully

equipped to handle the demands of

CAD/CAM, DTP, and other graphics

work. Additional considerations such

as the SlimEdge thin bezel design

and height, pivot, tilt, and swivel

adjustment make this an excellent

replacement for large screen CRT

or smaller screen LCD monitors.

Fine Contrast Mode Selection

The Fine Contrast function offers five different
imaging modes — Text, Picture, Movie, Custom and
sRGB — for the one that best suits the type of ap-
plication you are using. Toggling between modes is
simple with a button on the front panel.

Image Mode Assignment

Part of the bundled ScreenManager Pro for LCD utility
software, this function lets you assign a Fine Contrast
mode to a specific application. Whenever the applica-
tion is selected, the screen automatically changes to the
assigned mode. Also included is a WindowMovie mode,
which darkens the surrounding background so the
video window appears clearer and brighter.

Gamma Correction

The FlexScan L887 comes equipped with EIZO’s
newly developed ASIC (Application Specific Inte-

grated Circuit) which takes 8-bit data (256 tones for
each primary color) from the PC and converts it to
14-bits (16,384 tones) and then back to 8-bits for an
ideal gamma curve. This 14-bit processing capabil-
ity ensures extremely smooth grayscale rendering
even in typically problematic dark areas of an image.
Gamma values are also user-adjustable from 1.4 to
3.0 in 0.2 increments.

Independent 6-Color Control

Extensive color control allows the precise adjustment
of even a single color in an image. You can indepen-
dently adjust hue and saturation for each primary
(red, green, blue) and secondary (cyan, magenta,
yellow) color.
