9. Technical data of the flow switch
Power supply:
230 V ~ 50 Hz
Max. operating pressure:
10 bar
Water temperature:
60°C
10. Starting up
1.
Set up the pump on a firm and level surface.
2. Fit the suction pipe so it is ready for use.
3. Make the connections to the electric supply.
4. Fill the pump with water through the delivery
pipe connection.
5. Connect the delivery pipe so it is ready for use.
6. Turn on the ON/OFF switch (the pilot lamp on
the switch lights up).
7. All the operating modes are indicated by LEDs
on the front of the unit. As soon as the unit is
connected to the electric supply the green
indicator lamp „Power On“ lights up and the
yellow lamp „Pump On“ also lights up. The
„Pump On“ lamp indicates pumping mode. The
pump remains on for several seconds in order
to fill the supply system with water and build up
the necessary pressure. If the pump does not
run long enough to draw in the water, the red
lamp „Failure“ lights up. In this case keep the
„Restart“ button pressed and wait again, with the
tap open, for the red lamp to go out. The initial
priming operation can take approx. 0.5 to 5
minutes, depending on the suction height and
amount of air in the suction pipe. If the priming
takes a long time, you will need to top up again
with water. Once the water is drawn in
successfully you can release the „Restart“
button. Then close the tap. The unit will switch
off the pump automatically when the maximum
pressure is reached.
8. During the priming operation you have to fully
open all the shut-off mechanisms (spray
nozzles, valves) etc. in the delivery line so that
the air in the suction line can escape freely.
9. If the water management system is connected
directly to a water pipe in which there is already
water under pressure you only need to switch on
the pump. In this case the pump will switch on
automatically when the tap, spray nozzle, etc. is
opened, and will switch off again as soon as the
water stops flowing. N.B.: The water
management system does not switch off until
the water flow has stopped completely.
10. If the water management system is removed
after being used it is essential to fill it up again
with water when it is reconnected and re-started.
After temporary power failures the water
management system will switch on again
automatically when the power returns. In the
event of faults such as water shortage, clogging
of the supply line etc. the red lamp „Failure“ will
light up and trigger a fault message with
Emergency Off of the pump. This prevents the
pump from running under dry conditions. When
you have remedied the trouble you must keep
the Reset button pressed until the unit returns to
its normal operating state.
11. Maintenance instructions
The pump is basically maintenance free. To
ensure a long service life, however, we
recommend regular checks and care.
Warning!
Before every servicing, switch off the pump
and remove the plug from the socket.
If the pump is not going to be used for a long time
or has to be removed for the winter months, rinse
it out with water, empty it completely and allow it
to dry.
If there is a risk of frost, the pump must be
emptied completely.
After long stoppages, make sure the rotor turns
correctly by briefly switching the pump on and off.
If the pump becomes blocked, connect the
pressure line to the water line and remove the
intake hose. Open the water line. Switch on the
pump several times for approx. 2 seconds. Most
blockages can be removed in this way.
12. Replacing the mains cable
Warning! Disconnect the pump from the mains!
If the mains cable is defective, it must be
replaced by an electrician.
