5. TESTING & MONITORING YOUR CO ALARM
Button Test
It is recommended that you test your CO Alarm after installation and then once a week to make sure the
unit is working. It will also help you and your family to become familiar with the sound of the alarm.
Press and hold the test button until the alarm sounds (it may take up to 5 seconds). The alarm will stop
sounding shortly after the button is released. If there is a problem follow the checklist below. (The red light
will flash if it has detected CO and been in alarm memory since CO was recorded. The display will show
the highest reading since memory was reset).
