Mixer vessel
Description of the mixer vessel
The mixer vessel is a stainless steel rectangular container. XDUO 2500 Mixer is designed
for high speed solid-liquid or liquid-liquid dissolution. The minimum working volume is
520 L (counterclockwise agitation) or 750 L (clockwise agitation).
The mixer vessel has two round openings near the bottom of the vessel wall, symmetri-
cally positioned on both short sides of the mixer vessel. Each opening is covered with a
detachable door. The openings enable the user to access and adjust the disposable bag
during bag installation and removal.
A probe window is used to insert probes into the disposable bag for monitoring the
contents. A combined probe support and test tube rack is attached to the probe window.
The bottom of the mixer vessel is sloped in two planes to enable efficient draining of the
product.
XDUO 2500 Mixer vessel can be jacketed or non-jacketed. The jacketed vessel allows
temperature monitoring and control.
Description of mixer lid
A detachable lid is installed on top of the mixer vessel to protect the disposable bag and
minimize spillage. The lid consists of four independent parts, each with handles.
Three lid parts are without openings. The fourth lid part has two openings:

A semicircular opening for connecting a hopper or a powder bag for addition of
solid material.
•
A rectangular opening for accommodation of liquid addition lines.
