Change/Replacement Activities
This chapter describes the recommended replacement and maintenance work and
maintenance activities for the main components of the control cabinet of ER130-4-2800 robots. It
consists of separate operating procedures, each of which describes specific maintenance activities.
4.5.1 Replace the Controller

The following table details the steps to replace the controller.

Disconnect the power supply of the control cabinet;

Disconnect all terminals on the front of the controller and network cables;

Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pick up the upper and lower snaps, as shown
in the Fig. 4-1, and pry the controller out of the mounting rail;

Take out the controller directly;

Take out the motion control card on the controller;

Replace with a new controller;
7
Reinstall the removed motion control card and turn it on.
2. Observe whether the emergency stop alarm message pops up normally
on the teach pendant, and whether the robot stops as required.
