Important Note:
There are two kinds of DisplayPort cables:
Cables for
direct connection
to a MiniDP monitor with
Pin 20
on both ends of the cable
NOT connected
.
Cables for use with
dongles
(e. g. MiniDP to DP, MiniDP to
HDMI) with
Pin 20
on both ends of the cable
connected
.
Possible effects if wrong cable is used:
System might not start up properly.
Dongle does not work properly (black display).
